My approach is one that is informed by the effects of trauma and attachment theory principles. I believe our formative relationships are where we learn how to show up in our relationships with others as well as the spaces we occupy. I also love to incorporate somatic therapy techniques to help foster and strengthen the mind body connection as we learn to identify and move through emotions. I strive to create a safe, compassionate, and empathic space where you can show up just as you are in the present moment. I see the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative process where emotional safety and connection are at the heart of our work together. I aim to be culturally attuned in my practice, recognizing and honoring the unique identity, background, and experiences that have come together to shape who you are.
Whether you’re navigating life’s challenges, seeking greater self-awareness, or simply need a safe space to reflect, my goal is to help you deepen your connection with yourself and others. I have special interest and experience in working with teens and emerging adults who are navigating their forming identities and relationships while simultaneously working through trauma. My professional experience also includes working with those experiencing intimate partner violence, high-conflict relationships, family disruption, eating disorders/body image issues, and addiction/codependent relationships.
The most cherished part of my work is to sit with clients in their moments of doubt and celebrate them in their breakthroughs- no matter how big or small. It is my goal to encourage my clients to develop a sense of trust in themselves as they walk through life.
